DIGI-T CAMERA ADAPTERS

A simple solution for afocal digital astrophotography.

 The pictures  should be self explanatory. The Digi T system can be used only with EP like the one shown, with removable eye cup and maximum size of 35.5 mm at the attachment point

 The ring locks with three small allen screws, one is visible in pic 1a.The EP ring has externally a T size thread which fits the T ring for the specific camera. The same ring allows the use of a normal camera adpter with EPs without removable eyecup.In my case the Sony DSC-S75 needs an additional special adpter (VAD S70), easily visible in the pics.

 Digi T is produced and sold by Scopetronix (www.scopetronix.com) and they have in stock rings to fit most digital cameras.

Pros:    simple, effective, light in weight.

Cons: limited choice of Eps, a little difficult (but really just a little) to assemble the inner ring to the EP in the dark.

 The results I get with the digi T system even with low price Eps (Ploss 500 GTO, about 30 $ each) are quite good, right away from the first try.
