Freedom Grill

FG-50

When we bought our E3 we got the RVQ with it. It's a Great grill but it is a bit small. We later found that The company that made the RVQ also offered a RVQII but for some reason they discontinued it.

So our search started for a larger grill that could be mounted to the side in some way. Then we ran across the Freedom Grill FG-50.

Freedom Grill FG-50

The pricing is about the same as a RVQII but it is about half again bigger. It can be had from Amazon (at this link) for around $295.00.

What's cool about this grill is that it can be mounted via a trailer hitch mount or be used as a table top unit. I mounted mine to my to the 2" cross bar of my hitch I added for my bike rack.

Here is what it looks like before I mounted the swing mount, and after it was installed (shown stowed for travel...)

Here is what it looks like un-stowed with the grill mounted....

The grill hooks up via a high pressure gas line to the on board 20lb cyl or you can screw in 1 lb bottles if you like.

In my install I added a high pressure gas outlet to the side of my trailer next to the factory installed low pressure gas. This allows me to use this grill and my RVQ or low pressure gas stove at the same time if needed.
